Delivering a persuasive sales speech is not really as difficult as it seems once you have acquired the techniques to motivate your audience to buy.

People are attending an information presentation because they want to know about the product. You are there to sell your product.

Have you created an info product and now arrived at the stage where you need to do the hard work. Yes, that is right, the hard work. Marketing your product. Nothing sells unless you market it.

With that in mind, it is obvious that you are going to have to be able to deliver a persuasive sales speech and capture the attention of your audience.

How do you go about delivering an exceptional sales speech? The success of speaking is the 3 P’s: prepare, prepare, prepare!

Confidence comes with knowledge. Knowledge is power.

You hear this sort of comment during motivational sales speeches, and it is so true. If you are going to be doing sales speaking there is nothing like the knowledge of your product to give you the confidence to sound persuasive.

When giving a motivational sales speech the word F.E.A.R. means False Evidence Appearing Real. Can you visualise this? If there is something that we feel nervous about, we can soon turn ‘nervous’ into ‘fear’ with self talk. By doing the necessary preparation you should be able to more easily talk yourself into a state of confidence.

The first preparation is to know your sales speech topic, and with you being the creator that should not be at all difficult. With this knowledge you then need to create your sales speech outline.

Once you have done this, the next step is to write your speech with all the information necessary and add in examples and stories to highlight certain points that you are trying to emphasize.

When you are writing a speech for sales, you need to be able to awaken the desire in your audience so that they can see the benefit of owning your product. By creating the desire and showing the benefit, you will then create the need, hence the sale.

6 TIPS FOR A PERSUASIVE SALES SPEECH

1. A laughing audience is an audience that is relaxed and tuned in to the speaker. So when you are speech selling, insert humorous stories and one-liners into your content.

2. When you have your audience in your hand tell them 2 or 3 benefits of the product. People want solutions to their problems, and if you can tell them how their problem will be solved, explain the benefits they will get from the info product.

3. Tell them a story about why you wrote the book.

4. Give testimonials of others who have used the product and succeeded.

5. Tell them that it could be a great book for someone else, because they themselves may not want to own it.

6. Always give the audience a great discount.

Show the audience that you care about how much better it will be for them once their problems is solved.

It is a researched fact that, in general, giving a speech is the number one fear that people have. Giving a motivational sales speech is often, even one of the most difficult for some people.

A person can often give a quite successful speech about themselves, or about experiences that they have had, but when it comes to giving a persuasive speech, the fear reaches a whole new level.

Just like with a lot of other activities in our lives, fear is created through one’s own imagination. There are amazing stories of people overcoming fear, but you were not born with fear; it is an idea created in your own mind.

There are several key points to persuasive sales speaking.

First, you need to make sure that your speech content is content you are comfortable with, and that you believe in it. Write a speech outline, and practice your delivery several times.

It is important that you can demonstrate 2 or 3 key benefits, and more if you have the time,

A persuasive sales speech should create desire, demonstrate the benefits and prove the need. By delivering your sales speech in this manner, you will gain the trust of the audience because you have shown them that there are benefits and solutions, and this is what all audiences want to hear. Not just a straight sales pitch.

When giving a speech for sales, you will always sell more if you incorporate humor. This creates a bond with the audience, and gains their confidence.

Here are 6 more techniques to make a successful selling speech:

1. Research your persuasive sales speech topics, then research the particular one that you choose to deliver.

2. Tell quick little stories to lighten the mood. When you have told the story, pause a while to give the audience time to think through why you may have done this and reflect on your message. Pausing is a great technique to use whenever you have told the audience a very important point. The pause emphasizes your point.

3. Tell and show video, text, and audio testimonials from other satisfied purchasers.

4. Recommend that your product could be a great gift for someone else they care about, as it may not be for them right now.

5. Always give the audience a great purchase deal. Sales speeches are all about getting the sale at the end of the presentation. This is a critical part of the whole presentation. Lighten the mood of the offer by giving an exaggerated price initially, joke about it, then present the true offer.

6. When giving your price, say the dollar value when giving a higher offer, then only the figure when making the true offer, eg. “The individual price for these cleaners is $15 each, but, for you, as a special offer today, I am offering them at $6,000 dollars for two. Just kidding, for you today I am offering two for 20.”

The final, and most important part, of any successful persuasive sales speech is to secure sales. So, as this is the essential and critical part of your speech, it is important that you write what you are going to say and practice it over and over again, and again. You must not neglect rehearsing this.

By practicing your sales speech many times, you will be able to ensure that you incorporate the above techniques to and give your best-ever sales speech.
