What Part Does Unorganized Mass Play in a Democratic Polity

Post by Mitrabhanu Mahapatra

This is the question that I identified in a discussion forum and I was at a fix when I began to post some answer. I think as this forum is a meeting location for wonderful minds, I ought to share my views right here and seek the views of others too.

The essential words in this query are “role”, “unorganized mass” and “democratic polity”. Let’s discuss each and every of the words and their meanings.

“Role” right here indicates function. But this is a really narrow definition. When we say function we need to also involve the dysfunctional elements also. The next key word is “Unorganized mass”. What is the meaning of it? The simplest take would be those men and women who are not element of any organization. Here by organization we mean an association, which may be a political party, a pressure group, a non government organization, an interest group, a non-profit group or what ever it might be. So unorganized individuals are those who fundamentally lead a voluntarism life, they may be common people, the voters or any other particular person whose associational interactions are close to null. The other crucial word is democratic polity. Democracy is that kind of government in which there is an institutional mechanism for changing the governing elite and a social mechanism to bring about change. Then query arises who can make those adjustments occur? – We the men and women. (Here folks contain each the organized and the unorganized).

With this much of definition let’s try to uncover a typical link amongst the three. We (the unorganized mass) have some functions in the political set up in India. So basic to discover a common link! But the difficulty is to make a decision what roles we play. Let’s enumerate from widespread sense what can we do in our polity.

1. Voting: – Voting is an essential concept in a democratic polity and most of us certainly exercising our votes. So via the method franchise we can select our leaders and that way we put an impact on the polity of this nation. two. Political socialization: – We can educate our youngsters at home about the political developments in the nation. So the knowledge our kids ought to not be limited to the civics books. three. Generalized out search :- We really should have a common out look about how this country is operating, what are its foreign policies, what are the democratic ideals, what is the financial structure etc.

The above are the commonsense perceptions of what people like us who have no time for associations can do for the country. But is it enough? I recognize the truth that we are mere men and women when we say we are unorganized, but I believe there are several inventive ways through which we can contribute to our country. Let me enumerate some of them:-

one. Inventive writing: – we can generate awareness via our innovative writings. Background books are flooded with examples of wonderful writers like Karl Marx, Trotsky, Gramsci, and Weber who have altered the polity of total nation and even the complete globe. Nowadays the mass media is so vibrant but the pity is that the reporters are so much less educated and interested about the day to day happenings that most of the news these days has grow to be a masala potpourri. (One particular needs to see India Television to know what I mean). So the onus comes on us to take up this activity. Socialization by means of writing is the ideal and tough technique of socialization and a lot more so if it comes to political socialization. I do not inquire everybody to become Shasi Tharoors or Guruchan Dases, but if we consider about our political interests, then if not anybody else we will be politically aware about the happenings. This is not restricted to writings only, any innovative act like poems, paintings or even reading about the political happenings itself brings about a large degree of political awareness in the nation.

two. Participation: – Some may possibly question this concept because political participation is an organized activity. But I am not speaking about political participation immediately. We can generate awareness amongst the mass. We need to have not type organizations to do that. Anna Hazares or Baba Amtes are fighting their lone battles. Are not they performing one thing magnificent for the country? Of course they are blessed souls and not every mortal like us can turn out to be like them but at least we can do our bit.

3. Displaying interests: – Are we showing interest in the way the nation is run? Do we know there are provisions like PIL, RTI by way of which we can ask for information which we constantly complain about government being secretive? We usually complain the government getting corrupt, but are we utilizing all the points at our disposal? No, simply because we are not mindful of them. If educated individuals like us behave this way what to talk about the rural uneducated individuals. There is a trick down impact every in which in society. The decrease degree follows the upper degree of society. If we are so uneducated what other folks will discover from us. If educated individuals like us do not physical exercise voting, how can we assume a village beetle shop man will go voting conscientiously without any allurement? We want to alter ourselves.

The democratic polity of India requirements the unorganized mass a lot more than the pressure groups, the interest groups or political parties. It is high time that we do self introspection and decide what we can do for our country. As Featured On EzineArticles

Write-up by Gene Lalor

Waging a effective war right now generally demands establishing alliances and letting allies assume some of the burdens of the battles. That requisite holds accurate for the Democrat War on the Christian God as well.

The Democrat allies in their war are legion, ranging from ACORN, to pro-abortionist feminist groups to the leftist blogosphere, even to a couple of Republicans in Name Only, RINOS, quisling traitors to their party’s and to the nation’s deep-felt values.

All one has to do is read the papers, watch the news, or peruse a few blogs to see the extent of how the United States, a former democratic republic founded on timeless Christian principles, has been inexorably deteriorating into a secularist, godless cesspool of Saul Alinsky-inspired chaos.

(Greater yet, for a fast overview of the corruption in progress, see “The Democrat War on the Christian God, (Portion I):” http://bit.ly/1XhuiL)

No considerable political/social movements occur in vacuums and none fail to have ramifications that go beyond mere politics. In military terms, the Democrat war on the Christian God is in progress on numerous strategic fronts.

Those ramifications are varied and might be likened to pustules on the body politic, rotting the social structure from inside even as those pustules gain favor in the general populace.

Two seditionist Democrat allies stand out from the other people, 1 for the depth of its godless depravity, the other for its widespread capacity to control public thought.

The first is the homosexual, LGBT, movement, the second the mainstream media, the MSM.

The ascendancy and growing societal acceptance of the LGBT community has turn into a commonplace fact of life. They campaigned for decades for “normalcy” and acceptance. They have largely won both, at least in the general public mind if not amongst most Christians.

Through perseverance and due to that ever-potent factor of American guilt, they are now considered just a variation on the norm of human behavior, if that.

They hold key positions in government, cf. Kevin Jennings, our “secure schools czar,” in education, in the media, in the entertainment industry and, clearly, in “the arts.”

Gays have grow to be an invaluable stronghold of the Democrat Party. Whereas a couple of generations ago, no Democrat politicians overtly embraced-pun intended-homosexuals and their nascent lobby, right now it is a badge of honor for a Dem to tout his or her support for all issues gay.

Gays have reciprocated that attention at the polls.

Take a look at some of the stories published on the homosexual internet site, Stonewalldemocrats.org: http://bit.ly/17BZHT

Though some few gays claim to be Christians, most are viscerally opposed to conventional Christianity given that that tradition views them as sinners.

There are often exceptions.

Episcopaleans skilled an exception when the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire consecrated a gay priest, Eugene Robinson, as its very first gay bishop. That lapse of good judgment and rejection of the Biblical admonition of homosexuality as an abomination effected an unprecedented protest and a schism in that church.

Homosexuals themselves can be both ardent, and violent, protestors as they showed after the passage of California’s Prop 8 banning gay marriage in 2008. It was of no relevance that the measure was passed in a totally free democratic physical exercise by the people of the Golden State.

Blaming that unanticipated defeat of their agenda on the financial support of yet another Christian group, the Mormon Church, homosexuals resorted to organized mayhem against that church and other Christian churches to illustrate their disenchantment with democracy in action.

Claiming Mormons’ “intolerant fundamentalism” was the root trigger of Mormon opposition, gays staged nationwide protests against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. One outside a Mormon temple in Los Angeles’ Westwood District is detailed here: http://bit.ly/rHeJa

Other stories and videos of the widespread violent gay reaction to Prop 8, which includes an unprovoked attack on a defenseless, elderly woman in which the cross she was wearing was desecrated, and an assault on Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church might be read and viewed here: http://bit.ly/Bkkde

Gays set up smokescreens such as the Gay Christian Network to divert attention from their true motivations.

Those motivations and their tactics had been observed in their despicable action on December 9th, 1989 when a horde of homosexuals invaded New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral throughout Mass. One of their ilk spit the Host on the floor.

The Times scrubbed version of that incident can be observed here: http://bit.ly/1aSqbI

Considerably more recent was an incident in which a gay rights fanatic issued a death threat to the head of the Christian Civic League of Maine for having the temerity to endorse Christian family members values. A full expletives-deleted account of that threat can be read here: http://bit.ly/4rc2kV

Based on the mere four link references provided, no doubt objections will be raised as to the validity and objectivity of this article’s contention that gays are front line troops in the Democrat War on the Christian God.

With much more space, I could list hundreds if not thousands of similar citations.

Nevertheless, homosexuals are not the chief Democrat ally in this war. That dubious distinction must be accorded the most potent weapon in the Democrat arsenal, an unabashed committed arm of the Democrats, the MSM.

That connection will be explored in Component III.
