@pyrix I disagree.. yes gnostic the word is based on the idea of direct knowledge of the divine, but in reality it is part of a tradition and a belief system which is essentially pantheistic..

@pyrix No dude. I understand it perfectly. It’s not some high-minded, superior intellectual concept. All it is, is “I don’t know”. Big fucking deal. Yeah, nobody knows. No shit. That genius n0s1r made my arguement for me below: “No, because Batman can be proven to be a fictional character.” You don’t get it. Nobody has to prove Batman is fictional. @pyrix Doug was an agnostic for years before he became an atheist. So I’m sure he understands the concept pretty well. Agnosticism is bullshit is because it allows the logical fallacy of having to prove a negative. I could say a giant, invisible snapping turtle is doing backflips on an asteroid in the center of the Andromeda galaxy and demands we sacrfice a virgin every year or he’ll destroy us. An atheist says “bullshit, prove it” An agnostic says, “well, gee we can’t disprove it so, i dunno”

Sorry, but the “Batman” analogy for an agnostic doesn’t fit.
If you said to an agnostic “so you believe there MIGHT be a Batman” the agnostic would look at you like were insane and say “No, because Batman can be proven to be a fictional character. I can even show you a photo of the man who invented the concept of Batman”.
An agnostic simply requires proof for ANY claim. If you claim something isn’t true we tell you to prove it, and if you can’t we tell you to shut the fuck up until you can.

you can be an agnostic theist/atheist, or a gnostic theist/atheist., but you cannot be an “agnostic” I know its just nitpicking though.

@Lithiumz …. I agree his view is realistic. But to honestly be a person with independant thought and to be surrounded by human cattle your entire life is going to leave a chip on your shoulder, is it not ? The statement I originally made was not for a person such as yourself who thinks, it was for the type of person who actually thinks true comedy is Jay Leno, Sinbad, or some random shit like that . So then they comment on his emotion instead of the subject becuse they can’t feel themselves.
